Environmental Policy


Hotel Kungsträdgården works continuously to:

• Integrate environmental work in our business plan. Sustainable development should always be included in all decisions taken, regardless of operation and level.

• Increase awareness of our employees and stakeholders, so that we can run a sustainable and successful hotel business together. Our employees should feel proud, knowledgeable and more importantly, commit to our environmental work. We place high demands on our suppliers and work to the greatest extent with those who are certified.

• Without exceptions, comply with legal requirements. Our vision is to be ahead of environmental laws and work preventively and proactively.

• Monitor and reduce the actual environmental impact from the business, such as energy and water consumptions.

• Reducing our waste. Our waste goes into different fractions and we are constantly working to recycle as much as possible. Our food waste is ground in a food mill and converted into biogas for Stockholm’s public transport.

• Use eco-labeled products.

Our ambition in getting involved in CSR work is that we at Hotel Kungsträdgården and Brasserie Makalös want to try to improve the situation for everyone who is affected by the work that our company does. We want to be a company that takes our social responsibility, nationally and internationally.

Our growth is based on offering services and products that contribute to societal development that is environmentally, socially, ethically and financially sustainable. We offer services and products that are produced under good ethical and social conditions.

Economy – By running a profitable and efficient business, space is created to spend more time and resources in the long term on pursuing a social, ethical and environmental responsibility in addition to what laws, regulations, rules and regulations require.

Environment – We must conduct our business in a sustainable manner and work to minimize the use of environmentally harmful substances that can have a negative impact on the environment and people. We must use environmentally and allergy-friendly alternatives to the greatest extent possible and apply a life cycle perspective when choosing products or services.
